Another 76ers Draft Bust?

Evan Turner was selected by the Philadelphia 76ers as the 2nd overall draft pick of the 2010 NBA Draft. Unfortunately he is playing like he doesn't even deserve a contract. Yes, I understand he is a rookie but the kid looks lost out there. There is a tremendous difference between watching the 76ers live and watching them on TV. Although only a handful of people actually go to their home games, the difference is enormous. Evan Turner looks like he forgot how to play the game as soon as his name was read off for the 2nd pick. Averaging only about 7 points per game with about 5 rebounds per game, it's no wonder why the Sixers can never catch a break when it comes to the draft.

With the exception of Allen Iverson, the Sixers draft picks seem to not meet their expectations. Everyone remembers Speedy Claxton and Keith Van Horn who were supposed to be the next best things. One of my favorite Sixers is Thaddeus Young, and I'm not sure if he's just not that good or the Sixers don't use him the right way. I understand it's too early to judge players such as Thaddeus Young, Jrue Holiday and Evan Turner, but they sure as hell can't win. I loved the Evan Turner pick when it happened earlier in the year, but now I'm not so sure what to think.
